{Alice} The heavy-ion experiment ALICE @ CERN LHC will be the largest experiment to detect the Quark Gluon Plasma. The detector will be built of several sub-detectors based on various detection strategies. One of these detectors, the so called TRD (Transition Radiation Detector), measures the transition radiation of through flying charged particles in order to discriminate electrons from pions.

{TRD/DCS} The Detector Control System (DCS) of the TRD combines the soft- and hardware which is needed to control the functionality of the detector. Controlling and monitoring is included in the system as well.
