Teaching
Winter Semester 2024/2025:
Master-Level course on "Optics and Photonics"
This winter semester again, I will teach the master-level course and tutorial on "Optics and Photonics". This lecture will provides an overview of both fundamental and applied aspects of optical phenomena based on classical and quantum properties of radiation and matter primarily relevant to modern science, from basic research to quantum technologies. The course will take place on Fridays from 09:15 to 11:00 and the tutorials from 11:15 to 12:00.For more information and registration, see here (course number 1300222207)!
Summer Semester 2024:
Master Seminar "Key experiments in quantum science and technology with photons, ions and atoms"
This summer semester, together with Sven Sturm from the MPIK, we propose a master-level seminar on "Key experiments in quantum science and technology with photons, ions and atoms". We propose 20 topics on both historical and state-of-the-art experiments, which will be the basis for a presentation by the students and for further discussions in the group. For more information , see here!
Winter Semester 2023/2024:

Summer Semester 2023:
Bachelor Seminar "Quantum Mechanics Solver"
This summer semester, together with Matthias Weidemüller, we propose a bachelor-level seminar based on the book "The Quantum Mechanics Solver" by Jean-Louis Badevant and Jean Dalibard. Each of its problems will be the basis for a presentation by the students and for further discussions in the group. For more information and registration, see here!
Winter Semester 2022/2023:
Tutorial on Advanced Atomic, Molecular, and Optical Physics
This winter semester again, I am responsible of one the tutorial classes accompanying Prof. Matthias Weidemüller master-level lectures on "Advanced Atomic, Molecular, and Optical Physics" (AAMOP). In the class, we discuss problem sets that follow the lectures' topics. My class shall be hold weekly, on Thursdays from 11:15 to 13:00, in the INF227 building, room SR3.402.For more information and registration, see here!
Summer Semester 2022:
Heidelberg Physics Graduate days lecture
Together with Skyler Degenkolb, Jun.-Prof. At the Physikalisches Institut, Heidelberg University, we designed a two-times-four lectures series bringing together our research fields. We entitled the lecture series "Ultracold quantum matter: what can you do with atoms and neutrons". It is to be given at the 48th Heidelberg Physics Graduate days, help from 11th to 14th of April 2022. Details on the lectures can be found here.Winter Semester 2021/2022:
Tutorial on Advanced Atomic, Molecular, and Optical Physics
This winter semester, I am responsible of one the tutorial classes accompanying Prof. Matthias Weidemüller master-level lectures on "Advanced Atomic, Molecular, and Optical Physics" (AAMOP). In the class, we discuss problem sets that follow the lectures' topics. My class is hold weekly, on Thursdays from 11:15 to 13:00, in person, in the INF227 building, room SR3.402.For more information and registration, see here!
Summer Semester 2021:
Master-level seminar, "Building synthetic quantum systems with photons, ions and neutral atoms"
This summer semester, we organise together with Fred Jendrzejewski a seminar series on "Building synthetic quantum systems with photons, ions and neutral atoms". Here we will discuss a variety of experiments based on assemblies of either photons, neutral atoms or ions, that highlight their capabilities to study quantum effects ranging from high precision measurements to complex many-body phenomena. For more information and registration, see here!
