SuperSUN-PanEDM
PanEDM at the Institut Laue-Langevin seeks to measure the neutron's permanent electric dipole moment with energy sensitivity approaching 10-23 eV. The experiment exploits the new ultracold neutron source SuperSUN.
High-density ultracold neutron sources
We develop hardware, analysis, and simulation tools for better serving both in-situ and ex-situ experiments with ultracold neutrons from high-density sources. We also have a particular interest in R&D to explore the ultimate limits of modern technology, for precision measurements with ultracold neutrons.
Phenomenology, Global Analysis, and a little bit of Machine Learning
Global analysis of low-energy experiments (mainly electric dipole moments and related quantities), and simulation-based inference for constraining physics parameters in complex experiments with stored neutrons.
QCN: Quantum Computation with Single Neutrons
The new project QCN explores trapped ultracold neutrons as a platform for quantum computation, using in-situ production, and quantum states bound by Earth's gravity.
Hyperpolarized noble gases
Precision measurements of noble gas nuclear spins, especially using laser spectroscopy and magnetic resonance for magnetometry, precision measurement, and other applications.
