First steps - Mathematica

This document is compiled in order to introduce the program Mathematica available in the version 7 on the computer system of the CIP pool in the P.I. and the KIP.

My Goal:

·       Provide hints for your first steps hands on training”

·       How do you get help?

·       Explain some basic functionality, so that your are able to explore this useful mathematical tool yourself.

Download the Notebooks with shift   mouse click. They contain exercises

and some comments.

The documentation is collected from the Mathematica Online Manual.

Note, the mathematica notebooks can be openend using the free

of charge mathematicaplayer. However, you are not able to run

or edit them.
