Thesis Opportunities

My group is always happy to welcome new students to our team in Heidelberg!

In the context of our research topics there are plenty of possibilities to address a current issue in the frame of a bachelor or master thesis. In our group you have the possibility to analyse data from the ALICE detector at the LHC and investigate the interesting physcis of hot QCD matter.
You could also join our project working on a phenomenology description of the quark-gluon plasma, which is expected to be created in heavy-ion collisions.
Apart from data analysis we are also able to offer you interesting hardware research in the form of detector development and testing and we are involved in the calibration process of the ALICE Time Projection Chamber (TPC).

Following the links, you can find more information on the four research topics which we are currently addressing together with the contact information of the responsible team members working on each project.
Just contact one of us if you are interested in our work and want to join us or if you simply want to get more information!

On this page you can also find the contact information of all our current team members.

Although we are addressing different types of research in our group, we are discussing and exchanging ideas and problems acitvely as a team in our weekly group meetings.

We are looking forward to meeting you!
