The HELIX configuration file contains one or more [HELIX]
sections. Each section describes on which CAN bus and which SLIO the
specific HELIX can be found, which I/O ports of the SLIO are used for
the signals , SerClk, SerData,
SerLoad and
, and finally which values are to be loaded into the
HELIX registers. The HELIX registers are denoted by their symbolic
name as defined in [FBST
98]. Note that both SlioMsgid and
chipaddr are hexadecimal numbers, without the 0x prefix.
A sample configuration file can be found in Appendix A.2. The order of the parameters in any given section is irrelevant; the sequence the register values are loaded in is given by the numerical values of the registers.
If more than one [HELIX] sections are given in the file, they are processed in the order given in the file. Thus it is possible to load a set of parameters common to all HELIX and to fine-tune individual parameters of each HELIX afterwards.
